SUMMER PROGRAM
Crossover Mission’s Summer Program, planned by our dedicated staff and executed throughout June and July, serves as a response to the community’s need for structured, affordable, and comprehensive summer programming. This initiative aligns with Crossover’s mission to provide enriching, high-impact experiences for our student athletes.
Our Summer Program encompasses a wide array of enriching activities, including University and High School Basketball Camps*, Elite Training, academic remediation (case-by-case basis), an ACT/SAT prep course, a life skills curriculum developed in collaboration with the Substance Abuse Center of Indian River County, student-athlete leadership retreats, cultural excursions, and more!
Recognizing that each student athlete possesses unique needs, Crossover Mission’s Summer Program is tailored to maintain the progress achieved during the school year and empower others to gain a competitive edge in their pursuit of academic excellence and coveted roster spots on their school basketball teams. By participating in our Summer Program, student athletes cultivate growth mindsets and expand their horizons, opening doors to new possibilities.
The Summer Program represents another opportunity for Crossover Mission to fulfill our commitment to “go deep.” Whether taking long bus rides to and from university basketball camps across Florida or enjoying themselves in local cultural excursions and field trips, student athletes strengthen their social bonds while simultaneously learning and having fun. These experiences include visits to the Vero Beach Museum, McKee Botanical Garden, The Riverside Theatre, Environmental Learning Center, fine dining, movies, bowling, and more!
Summer also brings Crossover Mission alumni back home from college, with several returning annually to share their inspiring growth stories. These alumni serve as mentors and assistant basketball coaches in our Elite Athletic Training program, inspiring the next generation of student athletes.
With the recent addition of Crossover’s 40,000 sq. ft. Center for Excellence, we are poised to further expand our programming while remaining true to our unique, individualized, and highly engaging approach for each student athlete. This new facility underscores our commitment to nurturing the holistic development of our young talents, both on and off the court!
