At 2 pm on Sunday, November 7 at Gifford Middle School, the Crossover Middle School Team scrimmaged with a team from Hobe Sound.  Many parents, friends,  Crossover staff, and volunteers were present to support our players. This game presented a tough challenge. According to Coach Antoine, “this experience served as a reminder that player development must take precedence over the need to win all of the time. We must continue giving Crossover players an opportunity to gain experience, and these types of games not only provide motivation to play but also, to improve team strategies. Overall, it was a good opportunity and learning experience for both teams.”

From Saturday 11 am through Sunday 1 pm, October 23-24, 2021, Crossover girls gathered for their first Leadership Conference hosted by the Vero Beach Equestrian Club. Crossover Conference Leader Neal Watkins, along with Crossover staff, led participants through challenges designed to break new ground, reach new heights, develop a personal and team identity, and choose to be leaders. An afternoon of team-building activities to improve communication, creative thinking, problem solving, and trust was followed by professionally guided interaction with the horses. On Sunday morning the girls learned to groom, tack, and saddle the horses in preparation for their actual riding experience. Professional staff and Equestrian Club members provided expert riding guidance and support.
