Crossover Mission is excited to host an unforgettable community event on September 13, 2024, at our newly renovated 40,000 sq. ft. Center for Excellence. This event, held in collaboration with the Indian River State College (IRSC) men’s basketball team, the Pioneers, Boys & Girls Club of IRC, GYAC, Youth Guidance, and other local organizations, promises to be a fun evening filled with basketball, community engagement, and inspiration.

Event Highlights:

• Watch the IRSC Pioneers in Action: Don’t miss the chance to see the IRSC Pioneers, fresh off a season with 25 wins and only six losses, as they practice and scrimmage at our facility. This is a rare opportunity to glimpse into the rigorous training and dedication required to excel at the collegiate level.
• Middle School Basketball Game: Cheer on our young athletes as Crossover Mission middle schoolers take on the Boys & Girls Club in a spirited game. The Pioneers players will lead them onto the court and offer their support.
• Meet the Pioneers: After the scrimmage, kids can meet the Pioneers, get autographs, and take home a special team poster featuring the season schedule and a QR code to purchase official IRSC gear.

This event celebrates the power of community, the importance of hard work, and the positive influence that dedicated college athletes can have on our youth. We’re honored to host Coach Travis Jackson and the IRSC Pioneers, who serve as role models for what can be achieved through perseverance and teamwork.

Speakers: Crossover Mission’s Co-founder & Director of Operations, Antoine Jennings, will share his perspective on the value of community collaboration, and Coach Travis Jackson will share insights from the Pioneers’ successful season and the road to excellence.

Our goal with the basketball event at Crossover is to bring these talented players into the heart of the community, giving kids a chance to follow in their footsteps.  We encourage all kids to bring a basketball or t-shirt to get signed by the IRSC Pioneers. Our hope is that they’ll be inspired to follow our local athletes on social media and come out to support their games this season.

The presence of youth organizations like Crossover Mission, B&GC, GYAC, Youth Guidance, and others can make a significant difference. When we unite as a community, we can create a wave of excitement and support that benefits everyone involved. 

Let’s show our kids what it means to have local heroes and inspire them to dream big.

Cost:  This is a FREE event for the public! Donations are appreciated.
