SMS Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: August 13, 2026
These SMS Terms and Conditions govern the text messaging program operated by Crossover Mission, Inc. (“Crossover Mission,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
1. Crossover Mission SMS Program
When you opt in to receive text messages from Crossover Mission, you authorize us to send SMS and MMS messages to the mobile telephone number you provide.
Messages may include:
- Student and family program information
- Registration and enrollment communications
- Program schedules, reminders, changes, and cancellations
- Basketball training, academic mentoring, travel-team, camp, and event information
- Facility, transportation, safety, and weather-related notifications
- Volunteer, donor, fundraising, and community-event communications
- Responses to questions or requests for assistance
- Other information related to Crossover Mission’s programs, services, and mission
Messages may be sent using an automated telephone dialing or messaging system. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of enrollment, participation, volunteering, donating, purchasing goods or services, or otherwise engaging with Crossover Mission.
2. How to Opt In
You may opt in by completing an online or paper form, checking an SMS consent box, texting a designated keyword, or using another consent method provided by Crossover Mission.
By opting in, you confirm that:
- You are the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number provided;
- You are authorized to provide consent for that number; and
- You agree to these SMS Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
If you provide a mobile number on behalf of a minor, you represent that you are the minor’s parent or legal guardian or are otherwise legally authorized to provide consent.
3. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies depending on your relationship with Crossover Mission, the programs in which you or your student participate, and current activities or events. Additional messages may be sent when time-sensitive program, scheduling, transportation, facility, or safety information must be communicated.
4. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply to messages sent by Crossover Mission and to messages you send to us. Crossover Mission does not charge a separate fee for participating in its SMS program. Contact your wireless carrier for information about your messaging and data plan.
5. Opting Out
You may cancel SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to a message from Crossover Mission.
After you send STOP, we may send one final text message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. After that confirmation, you will no longer receive messages through that SMS program unless you subsequently opt in again.
You may also request removal by contacting us at info@crossovermission.com or 772-257-5400. Please allow a reasonable period for a non-SMS removal request to be processed.
If you participate in multiple Crossover Mission messaging programs or message threads, you may need to opt out of each separately.
6. Help
For assistance, reply HELP to a Crossover Mission text message, email info@crossovermission.com, or call 772-257-5400.
7. Privacy
Crossover Mission respects your privacy. We use mobile information to operate our programs, communicate with you, respond to requests, and administer our SMS messaging program.
We do not sell or share mobile telephone numbers, SMS opt-in information, or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties except with service providers acting on our behalf as necessary to operate and support our messaging program or as required by law.
For more information, please review our Privacy Policy.
8. Supported Carriers and Delivery
SMS services may not be available through every wireless carrier or in every location. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your wireless carrier and is not guaranteed by Crossover Mission.
9. Changes to Your Mobile Number
If you discontinue or change your mobile number, you agree to opt out before giving up the number or promptly notify Crossover Mission. You are responsible for providing an accurate and current mobile number.
10. Changes to These Terms
Crossover Mission may revise these SMS Terms and Conditions periodically. The updated version will be posted on our website with a revised effective date. Your continued participation in the SMS program after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated terms, to the extent permitted by law.
