On Wednesday, April 2nd, Crossover Mission hosted a Mezzanine Reception with Coach David Hixon as guest speaker accompanied by his wife, Coach Mandy Hixon. David was inducted into the Naismath Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2023 (with Dwayne Wade). He dedicated 42 years to coaching men’s basketball at Amherst College with a career that earned him 3rd place in the number of wins (826) in Division III history. David and his wife, Mandy now live in Vero Beach and Mandy is a 3-time All American Diver from Ohio State University who has been named Atlantic 10 Conference Coach of the Year 18 times. After touring Crossover’s new building with donors and friends, David Hixon addressed the audience about his legendary career and how he now takes inspiration from Crossover Mission as he volunteers once a week with our coaches and student-athletes.
