Crossover Mission Student Players Join the Quail Valley Fun Run

On Saturday, January 14, a number of the Crossover Mission student players participated in the annual Quail Valley 5K Fun Run.

Our student players are exceptional athletes and placed very well in each of their age brackets. In the boys 14 and under bracket, the top three runners were Crossover Mission student players. We also had athletes place third in the boys 15 to 19 age bracket and third in the girls 14 and under bracket. These young athletes averaged under an 8 minute mile! But possibly the most fun of the day was cheering on our own Executive Director, Cathy De Schouwer, who also participated. Cathy may have been a bit sore the next day but she had an incredible time running with all of our wonderful student players.

Sheriff's Exhibition Game

Saturday, August 15, Crossover Mission hosted the Indian River County Sheriff's Office basketball team to compete against the Crossover Men's team. The game was in support of Crossover Mission in efforts to raise funds to help support the athletic and academic programs which run year-round.  In addition to the game against the Sheriff's office, Crossover kids also competed against elementary, middle school and 9th grade competitors.  For the second year, Crossover beat the Sheriff's team, but the competition was hot and the spirits were high. Thank you Sheriff Loar!
