Our Mission

Crossover Mission, Inc., is a not-for-profit corporation whose purpose is to support and redirect at-risk youth through after school programs run by dedicated coaches and mentors, using sports as a tool to attract, motivate and monitor achievement, and to provide local and world exposure to young minds. In that pursuit, the secondary purpose of Crossover Mission, Inc. is to build a bridge of friendship and understanding between cultures, starting at a young age, which will help to erode the walls of separation which continue to divide our society.

Crossover Mission is the culmination of a vision to join together, in unity, to reach out to the young people who need it most.  In helping kids to reach their potential, we elevate society.  It is a long road and takes hard work and commitment; kids need positive mentors and a vision of excellence to see the road ahead.

Crossover Mission offers a low-cost program of athletics and academic support with scholarships for children and families who cannot afford recreation or competitive basketball in Indian River County.  We require a annual registration fee of $25/year.

The Crossover program consists of three important and equal components: athletics, academics, and mentoring/exposure. We work with student/players each week, year-round, training them in basketball fundamentals and fitness, supporting their academics with focus on schoolwork, mathematics, literacy, and writing. We mentor our members through character training, positive development of mindsets, etiquette, confident self-expression, and exposure to the broader world.

There is not a Black America and a White America and a Latino America and Asian America - there is the United States of America.
— President Barack Obama

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become.
